Camping in 't Veen is a quiet nature campsite, connected to the Vekabo and ANWB mini campsites. The campsite is centrally located to many attractive attractions. The approximately 12 camping pitches (see map) on the half-hectare site are separated by alternating greenery. In this way each site has its own character with sufficient privacy, wonderful in the sun, nice in the shade and out of the wind.

Every place can be supplied with electricity. Showers, plumbing and other conveniences are within 10 and 80 meters walking distance.The clean and warm showers work without coins and free to use. Cars should in principle be parked in the central parking places. In our spacious shed there is enough space to put the bicycles brought under the roof. Dogs are permitted on a lead if they do not cause any inconvenience. We ourselves usually have our chickens roaming freely. There is plenty to play for children, for example the trampoline, the pipowagen, a couple of go-karts, the sandpit and the slide. In addition, they can rock and play table tennis. We also have a canoe for rent and there is the possibility to borrow our rowing boat. In the cozy canteen you can read, make phone calls or play a game.Here is also an information corner with leaflets about the many, very diverse recreational opportunities in the area. We also have a fully equipped touring caravan, possibly with awning in the rental. Camping In 't Veen is located on the Oranjekanaal, known for its excellent fishing water. Our rowing boat is at your disposal in consultation. We also have a few canoes for rent. Opposite the campsite, about 1.5 km away, are the Odoorn woods with a large, freely accessible sheep park. Very close is also 'De Kibbelkoele', a small lake in the woods with a beautiful sandy beach and clean bathing water. There are several attractive outdoor swimming pools in the vicinity. Schoonoord is 2 km away where daily shopping can be done. The open-air museum 'Elert and Brammert'is 20 minutes by bike from the campsite. In the vicinity are all kinds of walking and cycling routes. The campsite is located on the Ellertsveld route and is also the starting point of the so-called 'knapsack route'. The Pieterpad runs through the woods of Schoonoord, about 4 km from the campsite. We usually pick up hikers for an overnight stay.
