Do you want to enjoy peace, space, nature and beautiful sunsets then you are very welcome at this farmer's campsite. Bolsward and the surrounding area are perfect for beautiful, pleasant and sporting trips, walks and bike rides through the wide Frisian countryside and when you are back at the campsite, the farmer is always ready to take care of the farm and the animals (horses, sheep and some chickens) to tell. Taking care of the animals together with the farmer or a ride on the tractor is often a party.

"The campsite: In 2009 we took the step from dairy farm to farm with campsite. We keep horses, sheep and some chickens roam around. There is a shetland pony Atze and there are some pigs. And nature offers us the rest for free. Sun, rain, wind, we cannot do without. Cozy crowds and always people around us. This is what we want, the beauty that nature offers us, the peace and space to share with our guests. Participate in a painting workshop in the meadow or crawl into a comfortable chair with a book from the library cupboard in our living room. There is also plenty to do in our ""country retreat"". And sometimes the farmer could use some help. For the young there is a trampoline, there are go-karts and climbing equipment, a tree house and a large sandpit.There is a jeu de boules court and there is a large indoor play area where young and old can enjoy themselves with darts, table tennis and various games. All sorts of activities are organized for our guests in the summer months. And it is even possible to bring your own horse or pony. And just a cup of coffee or tea is also included. The campsite is on the Elfstedentocht route, near the center of Bolsward. Our campsite is small and quiet with spacious pitches, electricity and water on site and we have good and neat sanitary facilities. Half-Hichtum a great starting point for the Elfsteden route with collection and return service at kilometer costs, but there are also various other beautiful and rural cycling and walking tours in the area. We organize painting workshops in the pasture in the summer months,barbecue or have breakfast together in the sunshine. You can also participate in various creative workshops. If you want to go on holiday and would rather not leave your horse or pony at home, then we have storage space with separate boxes. In the reception area there are leaflets, free cycling routes, board games, there is a tennis table, dart board, shuffleboard, a book load to borrow or exchange books and there is always a jigsaw puzzle that everyone can work on. A computer and television complete it. Painting workshop: At the campsite we organize painting workshops for guests but also on request for groups. The workshop is suitable for groups up to 15 people and is painted on canvas or panel. We get the subjects for the paintwork close to home. A beloved pet, a church tower from the neighborhood,a chicken from the chicken coop but also the Frisian landscape can be central. All this can be a source of inspiration. Everyone decides for themselves on what they work, I give advice and tips. In this way the participants show their creative side full of energy and inspiration. To me, painting means putting aside thoughts and worries for a moment and giving life a little more color. But socializing is also a priority in the group. It is hard to be relaxed.
